There are 3 components to this build:
The hardware
Arduino
Myoware arduino shield
The human connection
Electrodes and wiring
The frontend
Google app builder
Hosted on APPLICATION
THE HARDWARE
Components for this section:
1 Arduino Uno R3 Board
1 Myoware Arduino Shield
1 USB A to USB B Cable
2 Compact 3.5mm Jack Male to Male
Plastic Case
Foam Pads
Summary:
The hardware for this project is how the EMG signal is compiled and transferred into the laptop. This section primarily includes basic assembly, but caution must be taken to correctly attach the Myoware Shield to the Arduino board.
Procedure:
Attach Myoware Shield to Arduino board
Attach the two 3.5 mm cables to two difference ports on the Myoware link shield
3D print the housing file
Fit the Arduino construction into the print
Attach cable through the port
THE SOFTWARE
Components for this section:
Laptop
Summary:
This part of the project takes the signals from a basic graphical output to a musical instrument. The code is attached below
THE HUMAN CONNECTION
Components for this section:
Wires
Sticky Electrodes
Bar Electrodes
Heat Shrink
Myoware Muscle Sensor
Myoware Link Shield
Summary:
This part of the project that takes the signals from the human directly to the Myoware Muscle Sensor and into the Arduino where the signal is processed. It requires soldering equipment, a heat gun.
First cut the white snap electrodes that come with the reusable sticky electrodes -- we well use these to make an adaptable attachment for regular bar electrodes and the stick electrodes
Add wire in between the cut off snap electrode to lengthen it by about 3 - 4 feet -- these will attach to the Myoware muscle sensor
One of the wires should be off colored to indicate that it is the ref/ground wire.
Add heat shrink to the soldered connection
Use the Nylon braided wire cover and and snake the three wires through.
