Mrs. Kelly Rackauskas holds a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Music Education, both with Summa Cum Laude distinction, from Illinois State University. While at ISU, Mrs. Rackauskas studied trumpet under Dr. Amy Gilreath and conducting under Dr. Stephen Steele, Dr. Daniel A. Belongia, and Dr. Matthew Luttrell. Mrs. Rackauskas was an active member of the Symphonic Winds, Jazz Band 1, The Big Red Marching Machine, and several small chamber ensembles. She served as the Drum Major of the Big Red for 3 years. Mrs. Rackauskas joined the Heyworth community in August 2009 and is the instructor for the 5-12 band program and the 7-12 choir program. Before teaching in Heyworth, Mrs. Rackauskas served as the band and choral director for grades 5-12 for CUSD 3 in Cuba, IL. She is a member of the Illinois Music Education Association and the National Association for Music Education. Mrs. Rackauskas is the principal cornet player for the Brass Band of Central Illinois and serves as an executive board member for the group.

Mrs. Rackauskas lives in Normal with her husband, Jarrod and their three daughters, Ava, Harper and Elizabeth.
