Join our project band for updates and further communications related to the Holtville FFA feeder calf project.
Jennifer Sutter is in her 4th year teaching at Holtville High School and in her 9th year of teaching. She is a graduate of The University of Arizona with a bachelor's degree in Agriculture Technology, Management and Education as well as a Masters in Teaching Administration. She started her career in Safford, then moved to Arizona Agribusiness and Equine Centers where she opened & chartered both the South Mountain and Estrella Mountain Campuses. Mrs. Sutter teaches Exploratory Agriculture (7th & 8th grade students), Foods I, Foods II, Agriculture Economics & Government, as well as the articulated Plant and Soil Science Class. Mrs. Sutter is responsible for the middle school program and the discovery officer team. Mrs. Sutter advises all beef projects including feeder calves, production steers and market steers. She coaches the B.IG., Creed, Veg Crop, Parliamentary Procedure and Agriscience teams.
Mrs. Sutter said “Teaching is my passion, Agriculture is the tool” She enjoys working with students preparing them for future careers in agriculture. Mrs. Sutter believes in holding her “kids” to high standards both academically and beyond the classroom.
Outside of the classroom Mrs. Sutter has four children of her own, Lexi, Kalea, Avery and Toby, all of whom attend Pine School. Mrs. Sutter and her husband, Tyler own and operate a farm (Tyler Sutter Farms) specializing in Alfalfa and Bermuda grass hay and seed. The Sutters started their business in 2009 in both AZ and CA and now operate solely in the Imperial Valley. When not at the school you can find Mrs. Sutter working on the farm, balancing accounts, checking fields or attending local sporting events - but always with the kids.
