Capstone Research Projects
2019-20
Theme: Life with COVID-19
Introduction - Ms Kelly
At the beginning of the 4th quarter, while we were all Sheltered-in-Place, I assigned my seniors a capstone project that utilized many of the skills they had accumulated after 4 years in the Biomedical Science Pathway. And as we were all scrambling to find out what the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic was having on our community, I assigned this project. Their task was 3-fold: research their topic, write some kind of paper with an annotated bibliography, and to produce a creative project that is useful in the community. Here are the project descriptions and objectives:
Option 1: COVID-19 and Underlying Conditions
Option 2: Public Health Proposal
Option 3: Mental Health and COVID-19
Option 4: Going Viral: The Dangers of Misinformation
Option 5: Ethical Dilemma: Who Gets a Respirator?
