Advanced Art is all about learning how to use the creative process to make original art. We'll also develop skills with a range of media and processes and learn about contemporary artists and art history. Please use the link below to access the syllabus and other important class info.

Advanced Art is a relaxed art class that will help students bring their artistic skills to the next level and encourage them to think more creatively. Since students have already taken an art class, we will go beyond the basics to expand their creativity.   

Ms. King’s students post their finished artwork on Artsonia, a digital portfolio where families can view and read about their child's creative process. Families can also share it with friends and relatives far away, and even purchase personalized keepsakes, with 20% of all purchases going to Ms. King’s classroom for supplies. Artwork is worth 14 points. Below, you can see Ms. King’s Equal Interval Grading scales for both 14-point and 100% scales. This is very different from the traditional 100-point grading scale. Note that the intervals between each letter grade are EQUAL in both grading scales.
