Hi, My name is Rebecca Hanif. I am one of the RSP teachers here at East Ave. I have been teaching here at East Ave for 23 years and teaching special education, in general, for 35 years. Although some of my students may learn differently, I strongly believe every student has strengths and I try to teach to those strengths and use them to help each student reach their highest potential.

I studied Feminist Studies and LGBTQ Studies at UC Santa Barbara. I am #MadeInHayward attending all Hayward schools: Ruus, John Muir, Palma Ceia, Winton, and Hayward High. My work centers equity, community and parent advocacy, and leading with empathy. When I am not working, you can find me reading a book, bullet journaling, and checking out new local coffee shops.
