Welcome to my science website.

Here, I will share some of the things I am learning in 8th grade science

Our monthly goal will also  be described. The goal for August and September was curiosity. Activities that we did for this were our cicada lab, Wonder journals , Hungry Hungry Sphero challenge, the microscopy lab ,and water quality testing. My favorite was the microscopy lab because objects look very cool under a microscope.

Updates for October,November, and December

Over the past few months I mostly enjoyed water testing. Some things I enjoyed about it was getting out of the classroom and going into nature. Also it was fun To do the water testing it's self. One thing I can Improve on are quizzes. Some things that could help me on them is to study more often. Another thing I can improve on is being more prepared in class Because sometimes I lose some of my materials for class.

Updates for January,February,and march

One of things we did was building a launcher and it showed the third law of motion. To make the launcher you would need a cup,a balloon and projectile. the second thing I did was driving a rover and measuring its speed and pulling force. One of the last things I did was learning how a Van de graaff generator and how electrons move.

Updates for April and may

During this time we learned about evedence of evolution, like Rock Pocket Mouse Project. We also learned about life science with learning about Meiosis and Mitosis,Punnett square questions,Alien Genetics Gizmo and Chickenology Lab. Near the end we did projects including Frogbit notes and Water quality Infographic.

Final Thoughts about 8th grade science.

8th grade science was my favorite science classes of all time. I think it is easy to learn the material.I feel i really understood the science in all of the fields that we were taught. The electromagnets were my favorite thing to learn all year. I hope next year I will have a good year like this.
