Welcome to my science website

Here, I will share some of the things im learning in 8th grade science.

Our monthly goals will also be described. The goal for August and September was curiosity. activities that we did for this  were our wonder journals, The Hungry Hungry Sphero, water quality testing, evaluating article authenticity, the cicada lab, and microscopy lab. My favorite was the microscopy lab.

Updates for October, November, and December

We have used the Quakefeed app very often and its fun to look at all the earthquakes that happen. Its also interesting to see the magnitude and if the  created a tsunami. We have also done some water testing which is fun. The water we tested is by the boat basin. The water at  the boat basin doesn't have anything harmful in it.

Updates for January, February, and March

We did a lot of different things in January February, and march. one thing we did was a book creator on electricity and magnetism. We also did magnet stations with them one of the stations was to see how far the magnetic field extends on a magnet. Another thing we did was the Ohio  toxic spill. We made a poster with facts about it. I also did an experiment with shoe friction. I tested different types of shoes and tested how much friction it had.

Updates for april and May

We have done many things in April, and may. During April, and May we did a frog bit project where we made a motorized object pick up frog bit. We  also did a water quality Info graphic project. On the project we tested the water around Huron and I did a keynote on it.

Final thoughts on 8th grade science

I enjoyed doing projects like engineering challenges and labs while learning about things. The thing I enjoyed the least was taking a lot of notes at once. I would like to learn more about earth and space in the future.
