Welcome MM 4.pdf

Welcome to my science website!

Here I will share some things that I am learning in 8th grade science.

Our monthly  goals will also be described. the goal for august and September was  curiosity. Activities that we did for this were wonder Journals,  the cicada lab, Water quality Testing, the microscopy lab, and our hungry sphero challenge,

My favorite was water quality testing.

Update for October, November, & December

I must take neat organized notes in my science notebook because the notes in my science notebook are sloppy. For the quizzes I must study because my quiz scores are crappy. I really enjoyed water testing because we got to go to thee beach even though I got a bad grade on it.

updates for janurary  febuary march

I enjoyed doing electro magnets. I Enjoyed placing the houses by the river. I loved learning  about electricit.

Updates for April and May

in may we did frogbit notes and a project and it was really fun because we got to build stuff. and we learned a little bit more about invasive species. I also learned that  the sphero's are waterproof and I got to get my hands wet.

another thing we did was the water qaulity infographic project we got to go to the boat basin and each of us have certian different jobs my first job  was to pick up trash in the lake but I didn't find any.  so then my next job was to observe and I found  some ducks. it was really fun.

We also did the chickenology lab we got to compare chicken bones to a t-rex. So scientists think that the t-rex is the ancestor of a chicken.  That just go's to show you chickens are smarter than they seem.

In the punnet sqaure's I don't remember much. all I remember is that I got a 0% on it so enough said.

I do not remember much about the meiosis and mitosis learning.

I also don't remember much about the evidence for evolution stages.

I remember the rock pocket mouse project. it was really fun I got to make up my  own song about mice turning black.

Final thoughts on eighth grade science this year

Eighth grade science this year was fun. I enjoyed holding the snakes the most they are nice and sweet. I least enjoyed the science quizs. I would like to learn more about science in the future.
