Welcome To Keynote ^

Welcome To My Science Website!

Here, I will share some of the things that I am learning in 8th-grade science.

Our monthly goals will also be described. The goal for August and September was curiosity. Activities we did for this were the Wonder Journals, Hungry Hungry Sphero challenge, microscopy lab, using the ipads, and water testing. My favorite activity was using the ipads because using the apple pencils is fun and because I enjoy drawing.

My personal favorite project that we have done in the past three months was the Seismic Safe Building project, or the SSB Lab Report since we got to make our own building and personalize it as much as we wanted, It was also my favorite because it wasn't a stressful project and I got to work with my friends while doing it. I liked how though it wasn't a difficult or stressful project, we still had to use our brains to fill out the keynote and to make sure we made it so it wouldn't break or fall under the shaking of the platform.

Update for October, November, & December

Updates For January, Feburary, and March of 2023

The three favorite things I did over these three months were our build a launcher challenge, Zoom call for planetary erosion, and the PHET systems. I liked the launcher challenge because I thought it was kinda funny to see everyone fail so hard (including myself) and I learned that you cant make a great slingshot out of limited posicle sticks, a few inches of tape, and a balloon. I also liked the zoom call because we learned lots of cool stuff about planetary erosion and it was really funny watching all of the kids in the background of the zoom call, so yeah that was cute. Last but not least, the PHET systems were one of my overall favorites because they were easy, fun, and I got to shock people.

Updates for April, May, and June of 2023

My three favorite projects we did over the three excruciatingly long months were the Frog bit notes and projects..and nothing else because everything else on the list we received was boring and or tedious. I thought the Frog Bit thing was fun because I got to draw and do research and that's a good mix of fun and work. I also liked the Frog Bit project because I got to hang out with my friends while making a fun, working engineering project. So therefore, the only fun thing we did these months was the Frog bit notes and project.

Final Thoughts on Eighth Grade Science

I believe that Eighth Grade Science wasn't the worst, but it wasn't the best either. I really enjoyed the Paper app on the IPads, it was fun to take notes and do projects on them. I hated the gizmos though, I believe they are just boring and tedious and they dont help us learn anything except how to hate things because oh my gosh, -10/10 would do these gizmos ever again. I also would not like to learn anything about science in the future because I personally don't really care for it.
