Welcome to my website

Here, I will share some of the things I am learning in 8th grade science.

Our monthly goals will also be described. The goal for August and September was curiosity. Activities that we did for this were a microscopy lab, cicada lab, Hungry Hungry Sphero challenge, water quality testing, and Wonder journals.

My favorite was, the Hungry Hungry Sphero challenge.

Update for October, November,& December

These past 3 months, have been a roller coaster with many successes, but many failures. My favorites for these past few months is making posters. I love to take creative liberties and put my own design into a poster about the lesson we learn in science class. This poster is about the plate boundaries and hot spots. One of my other favorites would be the seismic safe buildings. I love the hands-on activities making buildings, posters, and also destroying the buildings. I am looking forward to these next months to add information to this website and to make many more fun activities!

Update for January, febuary, and march.

My favorite activities we did were the stream table, that showed a river starting to flow and I really like that one. The second one, I really enjoyed was the Van de graaff generator because I watched Kenzie get shocked and that was also really fun. And the last one I really enjoyed was the magnetic stations/ elctricty and magnetism book creator. It was really fun and I enjoyed all of the projects but these 3 were my favorite.

Updates for April and may.

We did many fun projects these months including, Frogbit notes and projects, water quality Infographic project, Chickenology Lab, Punnett square practice questions, Alien Genetics Gizmo, Mitosis and meiosis learning, Evidence for evolution stations, and rock pocket  mouse project. And My favorite was either the Frogbit project. Or the Rock Pocket mouse project.

Final thoughts on 8th grade.

What I enjoyed the most was the water quality testing. And my least favorite was the gizmo's. I would like to learn more about life science in the future.
