Here, I will share some of the things I am learning in 8th grade science.

Our monthly goals will also be described. The goal for August and September was curiosity. Activities that we did this for were a microscopy lab, a Wonder Journal, water testing, a cicada lab, and a Hungry Hungry Sphero Challenge. My favorite was the Hungry Hungry Sphero Challenge.

Learning about the different plates and the way they move is my favorite thing we have learned. I find it very interesting that they don't always follow a pattern and in a way do their own thing. There were books we created about how Ohio and the resources in Ohio has changed over the years. We learned about different types of earthquakes like p waves, s waves, etc. We built buildings using methods that were earthquake proof and had to include a garage with a car which was hard to make earthquake proof because it was heavy and wouldn't stop moving.
