Welcome to my science website!

Here, i will share some of the things I am learning in 8th grade science.

Our monthly goals will also be described. The goal for August and September was curiosity. Activities that we did for this were a microscopy lab, a Wonder Journal, water testing, a cicada lab, Hungry Hungry Sphero Challenge.

My favorite was the Hungry Hungry Sphero Challenge.

Water Quality Testing 2021-2022 (Responses)

Update for October, November & December

I like how we use the I-pads to make sketches and most of our notes and work on. Using the I-pads is much easier and faster than using a computer or paper. Another thing I liked was the water-testing. This gave us the chance to get out of school and learn about the water of Lake Erie. I liked learning how to use the tools to test the water.Using the quake feed app allows us to see tectonic plate movement far away from us. I also like that we don't need a lot for this class, all we need is a pencil, Chromebook, and our notebook.

Update for January, February, & March

I like how we used Newton's cradle and tested ow many times one amount of balls would bounce. This really showed us how force and motion work, in our day to day lives. I also like how we used the stream table it show how rivers are made. It was a good visual aid to what we were learning about. The magnet stations were a great way to show how the work and what they work on. It was a good way for us to learn hands on!
