Welcome to my science website

Here, I will share some of the things that I am learning in 8th grade science.

Our monthly goals will also be described. The goal for August and September was curiosity. Activities that we did for this were our Wounder Journals, the Hungry Hungry Sphero challenge, water quality testing, evaluating article authenticity, the cicada lab, and microscopy lab. My favorite was the microscopy lab because we got to see some objects up close that we wouldn't be able to see with the human eye.

Updates for october, november, and december

I enjoy learning great new things about our world.  My favorite thing we have done this year was our earthquake building project. One thing that is working for me this year is taking notes before tests and doing Kahoot's before tests. Another thing that worked for me was doing all of these projects, it made things easy to stay in my head and to learn. I have room to grow on some of my test scores.

Updates for january, February, and March

We did so many cool things in these months! Though there was lots of scientific news and things we learned, some of my favorites are Newton's Cradle, Science in the GIFS, and Magnet Stations. These were my favorites because I got to learn different science examples and in ways I like.

Updates for April and may

Some activities we did these months are Frogbit notes and project, Water quality infographic project, Chickenology Lab, Punnett square practice questions, Alien Genetics Gizmo, Mitosis and Meiosis learning, Evidence for Evolution stations, Rock Pocket Mouse Project. Overall these 2 months were very fun and challenging. I also learned a lot of stuff that I never have known.

Final thoughts on 8th grade science

This was a wounderful year of school and I learned and enjoyed so much stuff in this class. The thing I enjoyed the most was Water Testing at the Huron Boat Basin. The thing I enjoyed the least was taking notes and watching videos. Something I would want to learn about in science in the future is the moon landings.
