Welcome page

Welcome to my website!

Here, I will share some of the things that i am learning in 8th grade science.  Our monthly goals will also be described the goal for August and September was curiosity . Activities that we did for this were a microscopy, Cicada lab, Hungry Hungry sphero challenge, and our wonder journals

My favorite one so far is the Hungry Hungry sphero challenge

Best drawing in sketch note

Update for October, November, & December

These projects we been working on have been really fun! I personally  liked doing all of the sketch notes that was just really fun! The projects that helps me remember more are hands-on activities. I am enjoying many of the sketch notes although I cannot write neatly on them I enjoy drawing and coloring. I have room to grow in water testing because I do not remember how to test it in all the different ways. Over all I think that every project we have done has helped me in many ways! I hope that in every lesson we learn this year will have many fun activities we can do as a class!

Updates for January, February and March

The year is moving along good! I would like to mention three projects that we've done so far in these months. First the PHET simulator these where really fun! we made currcuits and I thought that when I made 10 battery's catch on fire that it was super funny! We also did a fun scketchnote I enjoy drawing a lot so this was fun! it was all about electricity based of the video we watched.  We also did a science in the GIF'S! this was fun we did many GIF's and we had to explain what forces were happening that was easy for me. I felt I did a great job with that slideshow. Mrs. Lacrosse wasn't here that day. Overall a great three more months!

Updates on April and May

So these past two months have been great and I have enjoyed it. First off we did another EDC on frogbit, this is a type of plant that mats up real thick and block boat traffic. Our project worked quite well we called it the spider towards the end of April we had state tests coming up and so we had to review everything before we did that test, so we did punnett square practice which was really easy for me and continuing with genetics we did an alien genetic gizmo that was fun since it was always a mystery on what alien you would breed. then we made a sheet about the differences on mitosis and meiosis. then we did a chickenology lab which was fun, I made a brochure about a rock pocket mouse they had tan fur then had a genetic mutation to change some to black fur. finally we made a water quality testing infographic all the information was over 3 years of tests and I did the location Lake Front Park East.  That is a wrap on those 2 months a lot has happened.

My final thoughts on 8th grade science...

I really enjoyed the year and if I could I would do it all agian, I enjoyed all of our EDC projects and what I lastly liked was just taking note days I would love to learn more about genetics I really liked the our teacher and she makes a grea friend.
