Welcome DPR 4.pdf

Welcome to my science website!

Here I will share some of the things that i am learning in 8th grade science.

Our monthly goals will also described. The goal for August and September was curiosity. Activities that we did for this were our Wonder Journals, the cicada lab, water quality testing, the miscroscopy lab, and our hungry hungry sphero challenge.

My favorite was the water quality testing because we went outside and we got to do it with our friends. I also liked how i got to do the dissolved oxyen.

Update for October, Novermber, & December

In these months I have been doing pretty good. I have been studying a lot for all of my quiz and I have been doing good on them. I have been getting 80,90, and i even got a 100 on one of them. My favorite project was the sketch note for over tectonic plates i worked  super hard on it and i think it looked pretty good by the end of it. Another one of my favorite projects was the water testing active because we got to go to the beach and walk around and it was perfect weather when we went. I need to work on paying more action to more details in class.

Updates for January, February, and March

During these months we did many different things but some of my favorite things were getting to learn about the Ohio toxic spill because it was cool to learn about something that was going on around us. Another thing I really enjoyed was the Van De graaf generator because it was cool how everyone got to be involved with it. And finally another thing I liked was the different experiments we did like the shoe friction, Sphero, pendulum, film canister, and RVR.

Updates for april and May!

In these two months I have done a lot of projects including the Frogbit sketch note, water quality Infographic, Chickenonolgy Lab, Punnet square, Alien Genetics, Mitosis and meiosis, Evolution station, and finally the rock pocket mouse sketcht note. We also went to Old women's Creek this week and we got to do many different actives like going on a hike, canoing, and we got to learn about soil. Over all in the past two months my class and I learned a lot of new material.

Final thoughts on 8th grade science!

This year in science has been really good. I learned a lot of new things and did a lot of different actives I have never done before.  Some of the new projects I did this year were water testing many different times, building all different kind of things, and doing actives with the speros. My favorite projects were all of the sketch notes we got to do because I liked how we got to turn science into art. And one of my least favorite things we did was all of the gizmos we had to do and all of the quizes we had to take. I would like to learn more about earth science like plants and animals in the future.
