Welcome to my Website

Here, I will share some of the things that i am leaning in 8th grade science.

Our monthly goals will also be described. The goals for August and September was curiosity. Activities that we did for this were a Microscopy lab, Cicada lab, Hungry Hungry Spheros Challenge , Water quality testing, and Wonder Journals.

My favorite was the Hungry Hungry Shperos Challenge.

Update for October, November, & December

My experiences with these projects are very different from what I have done before.  I enjoyed doing all of the projects that we have done so far. My favorite project that I did was an  IMovie with Sofia about Earth's Formation. I also enjoyed doing all of the sketchnote and figuring out how to work everything on there. Everything has worked well while doing all of my projects but I could work on using my time more wisely.

Update for January, Febuary, & March

During the past three months in science we learned Van de graaf generator, stream table, and magnet stations. I enjoyed doing exploring all of these things. The magnets were very cool to learn about and to know how they actually work. I liked the stream table because you could see how the water flows and creates waterways. Last the Van de graaf generator was cool to see how when you touch it you build a static charge your hair sticks up.

Update for April & May

During the months of April and May we have learned about frogbit, chickenlogy, punnett squares, alien genetics, mitosis and meiosis, evidence of evolution, and rock pocket mouse evolution. I liked the Rock Pocket Mouse Project the most because it was cool to see how they try to survive.

Final Thoughts on 8th Grade Science

The things I enjoyed this year in 8th grade science were the of the sketch notes we got to do and I liked learning about magnets. Something that I didn't enjoy this year was the book creator books that we had to do. One thing I would like to learn about in the future about science would have to be something about chemicals.
