Welcome to my 8th-grade science website. Here I will share my learning this year in science. Some things that I am excited about this school year are being in Mr.Shoanhares class and Mrs.Lacrosse class.

In the first quarter, we did many activities. I enjoyed learning about all of them. My favorite so far was the Old Woman Creek field trip. I love to canoe! Another was the Spero battle bots activity. I got to build a battle bot.

I learned about Newton's laws and the outside forces like drag, kinetic friction, static friction, rolling friction, and net force of zero. I also found out about speed, velocity, and acceleration. I also got to use magnets and the static generator. In Life Sci, I learned about domestication (wolf to dog) mutation/natural selection (brown to white bear) Tree of Life ( all things come from a common ancestor) Extinction (5 mass ones), and tardigrades (little change and long-lasting. Gregor Mendel (father of genetics)  I also found out about how there are so many jobs in farming besides being a farmer. Like managers and supervisors.

I had so much fun learning in sci this grade. My favorite thing to do must have been Hungry Sphero because we got to build a battle bot. Can't wait to be with my sister and learn about the atomic theory. Because who doesn't love a good theory? But that's just a theory a Game Theory thanks for watching.
