Renton's 8th Grade Trip to Washington DC
Renton is excited to announce a partnership with Student Adventures to create a memorable experience for our 8th-grade class. Students will have the opportunity to spend three days exploring the sights around our nation’s capital. We have carefully developed this package to maximize students’ ability to experience our great nation while keeping costs manageable.
Trip Details:
Departure: Students will leave from Renton at 4:30 AM on Wednesday, September 29th.
Return: Students will return to Renton on Saturday, October 3rd, at approximately 6:00 AM.
Meals:
All meals are included during the trip, except breakfast on the day of departure. Students are welcome to bring extra money for souvenirs from the various gift shops we will visit; however, this is not necessary.
Payment Information:
Details on how students will receive money for their food, along with all payment costs and deadlines, can be found on the Payment Information Page.
Student Accommodations:
Students will be accommodated in quad rooms, allowing them to choose their own roommates. Roommate selection is planned for September. For enhanced safety, nighttime security personnel will be present on the floors where students reside each night.
Chaperone Information
Once we confirm the number of students attending, we will conduct a lottery for interested chaperones. If selected as a chaperone for this trip, you will be required to undergo a background check in September. Chaperones will have the option to choose between a single or double room. Pricing details for these accommodations can be found on the Payment Information Page.
School Policies:
While we encourage students to enjoy this adventure, please remember that this is a school function, and school rules will be enforced throughout the trip. If a student violates school policy, a parent may be required to travel to Washington, D.C. to retrieve their child. In cases involving drugs or weapons, a parent will be required to pick up their child immediately.
We look forward to an exciting and educational experience for our students!
