Due to technical difficulties, all students will be taking the M-Step on Tuesday, May 7 and Thursday, May 9.  Make sure your child gets a good night sleep, arrives to school on time, has a fully charged Chromebook, and has a pair of plug-in headphones!  

Scheduling for Next School Year

On Tuesday, May 7, all current 6th and 7th graders will be meeting with our school counselors to review their scheduling options for the 2024-2025 school year.  Please have your child show you their schedule selection on their Grade Level Google Classroom.  Changes may be made to their form through Tuesday, May 14.  

3rd Trimester Progress Reports 

It's hard to believe we are already halfway through our final trimester!  Third Trimester Progress Reports can be viewed on MiStar Parent Connect.   Please make sure to sit down with your child and discuss this information.

Teacher Appreciation Week!

National Teacher Appreciation Week is May 6-10, 2024. The Michigan Department of Education’s (MDE) Office of Educator Excellence (OEE) wishes to celebrate teachers across Michigan for the entire month of May.

MDE invites parents to submit 15-30 second videos of their students recognizing and thanking a specific teacher for their impact. Nothing fancy is required—cell phones can capture the videos. Please follow the directions on the flyer. Videos and parental consent may be submitted via the Teacher Appreciation Video Project Google Form.  Videos are currently being accepted until Friday, April 19, 2024.

Submitted videos may be posted on the Teacher Appreciation Month webpage and the MDE’s YouTube channel. The Office of Educator Excellence Facebook  (@MIeducator) and X (formerly Twitter) social media pages will be promoting the videos throughout the month of May. 

If you have a child with great things to say about a teacher, don’t hesitate—use the instructions found on our website to submit a video today! 

Yearbook Orders

Fragrances/ Perfumes/ Cologne in School

Due to staff and student allergies, we highly discourage the spraying of fragrances in the hallways and classrooms. Please assist in making students aware. We appreciate all the help with this! 

Chief's Clothing Closet

New this year at Renton!  We have a clothing closet to support students who are in need.  There are a variety of gently used clothes of most sizes and styles. Please see Mr. Vena, Mrs. Nash, or Ms. Hanna if you want to check it out or make a donation.  Thank you.

Homework Help is on Wednesdays after school  from 2:45 - 3:45 pm for all students who needs additional help on their assignments.  Students will go to Mrs. Bettini's Room with their needed materials.  See the attachment below for additional information.
