Welcome Page

Welcome to my Science website!

Here, I will share some of the things that I am learning in 8th grade science.

Updates for December November October

I came to this school in October so i missed a lot of stuff they did but we have done a lot of projects since I've been here. First in October i wasn't really aloud to do anything i just watched the teacher do her thing but a month after October we did so much my first ever real project was with a group the Ohio rocks and products. That was  so cool and my old school never really did projects like that its always just do it by yourself .  So my second real project was the earthquake one witch was my favorite.

Updates for January, February and March

Hello again its me!! SO first we did a lot these last few months. One of my favorites were the Ohio spill. It was fun learning about the spill that took place in East Palestine Ohio. When i first heard about the spill i was thinking it could spread to anywhere in the world but it was just effecting east Palestine. we are very lucky it didn't spread all across Ohio. My 2nd favorite project was Van De Graaf Generator. It was fun seeing peoples hair get all stat-icky and getting shocked. I went up there when we last did it and i wanted to shock Mrs. Lacrosse but she wouldn't let. Me so someone volunteered  and i gave them the biggest shock i have ever seen you could see the spark when we touched fingers. we did 2 book creators too they were fun.

Updates for April and May :)

These last few months have been amazing! the projects we have made and everything has been very fun. but on to what we have or i have learned. So first we have pocket mouse and WQ.  The pocket mouse project was very fun i loved learning about there fur and how and why they are all different and why they  are normally in a certain type of setting of a home. The WQ was very fun me and Lindsay, Avery found an animal skull while picking up trash. Then we started learning about frog-bit and why it is in our lakes and more plant stuff. We learned what organisms effect our lake erie and why this happens to our lake.

Final thoughts on 8th grade science..

This year has been rough i cant lie. But i got used to it just like i do everyday. but science has really made me happy I've always loved science and i loved learning about chemicals and more. i wish this year would never end but I love this class. but ill miss some of my friends and teachers and also class clowns. a school could never be a school without class clowns but over all the teacher in science is amazing she actually wants to help us learn and be a real teacher unlike some.. BUT i love science i wish it could never end.
