About Us

The Hunter Bible Church Christian Education Centre Fund and associated Education Committee was established by the Hunter Bible Church Association Inc. in 2009 to to promote and oversee arrangements for the giving of regular and systematic instruction in Bible Knowledge and Christian education (see Fund Constitution below). The intention of this new entity was to operate a School at some point in the future, and in so doing, to obtain funds to acquire suitable venue(s) as an ATO approved DGR (Deductible Gift Recipient).

While the HBC Christian Education Committee is part of Hunter Bible Church, it is a separate institution. The Education Committee has it's own objects and rules (see below) and over the years, various MOUs have been agreed between the Association and the Education Committee (see below).

Building and Locations

The HBC Christian Education Centre is a multi-site school, operating several buildings.

Garden Suburb Learning Foyer

North Building, 10 Reserved Rd Garden Suburb, NSW

Garden Suburb Hall

Southern Building, 10 Reserved Rd Garden Suburb, NSW

King St Learning Lounge

Lounge and classrooms, 259 King St Newcastle, NSW

Additionally to the buildings listed above, the CEC also operates the Garden Suburb Learning Lounge, the Garden Suburb Office and associated Classroom. The CEC has also purchased other properties to use as school facilities in the future (15 Rosewood Cl Garden Suburb).

Education Centre Fund

The HBC Christian Education Centre Fund is managed by the Fund Committee to receive funds to be used solely for the purpose of providing venues for the HBC Christian Education Centre courses, training and instruction. The Fund is audited each year along with the Hunter Bible Church financials. Money from the Fund is disbursed according to the rules of the Fund through the financial management committee of Hunter Bible Church Association.
