Theme of the fortnight
Our current Theme of the Fortnight is 'Hoo Against Hate'. This theme is linked to our education of children around Black History Month. In our whole school assembly this week, we explored 'Saluting our Sisters' which highlights the crucial role that black women have played in shaping history and inspriring change.
Next week we will be discussing 'protected characteristics' and how it is against the law to discriminate against any of the characteristics which are identified and protected by the Equality Act 2010.
As a school, we truly believe in equality and believe it is important that we help children to understand how differences should be celebrated and make our ever-growingly rich and diverse community a wonderful place to be part of.
Parking
As the school has increased in number, the number of vehicles entering the school site has also risen; this can cause some difficulty in terms of parking for all members of the school community.
Can I please ask you remain patient and considerate of other drivers and pedestrians when parking on the school site and, if you are able to, encourage your child to walk, scoot or cycle to school with you.
