About Us
Hummingbird Outreach is an initiative dedicated to supporting 2SLGBTQIA+ and gender-expansive youth and young adults navigating substance use, mental health challenges, houselessness, and crisis. We lead with lived experience, harm reduction, and unconditional support.
Hummingbird Outreach exists to create safer, affirming spaces for marginalized youth. We aim to:
Reduce stigma around substance use and mental health.
Provide peer support and crisis response.
Advocate for gender-expansive and 2SLGBTQIA+ youth.
Offer culturally safe, trauma-informed care.
Hummingbird Outreach runs a variety of programs including:
Outreach – Access to hygiene, clothing, food, and medical advocacy.
Crisis Response – Non-judgmental, rapid support during moments of crisis.
