Obtaining hands-on experience of research in action is a valuable experience. As a Research Assistant (RA) in this lab your role is important in the smooth and efficient functioning of the lab. You will be gaining experience in the research process, which may involve reading research, conducting literature searches, providing input into our lab projects, training in experimental protocol, and possibly data analysis and project presentations. Your role can be as active as you want it to be. You will be helping to administer a research project under the direction of Dr. Sanchez or graduate students and this may involve many varied tasks. Depending on your level of involvement, you may earn recognition by being named on a project, with the opportunity to present that research at a conference.
All RAs are required to attend our weekly lab meeting.
It is possible to receive PSYC 495 units for being an RA, with permission from Dr. Sanchez.
If you are interested in joining the Cognition Lab as an RA, please fill out our Lab Application.
If you have any questions about the lab or what it means to be a student member, please contact our lab managers Jesse Benefiel <jpb349@humboldt.edu> or Phoenix Spoor <pas121@humboldt.edu>
