For the fifth year in a row, Humble ISD, together with local community sponsors, is uniting to shine a light on one of the most urgent public health challenges of our time: suicide.

This powerful evening is more than an event, it’s a movement. Together, we will:

Raise awareness about suicide prevention
Share resources that can save lives
Support one another in breaking the silence and reducing stigma

When you walk side-by-side with students, staff, families, and neighbors, you’re sending a clear message: no one is alone, and every life matters.

More than 49,000 people in the United States died by suicide in 2022—that’s one death every 11 minutes.

Suicide was the 11th leading cause of death overall in the U.S.

2nd leading cause of death among individuals ages 10–14 and 25–34
3rd leading cause of death among individuals ages 15–24
4th leading cause of death among individuals ages 35–44

There were nearly twice as many suicides (49,476) in the United States as there were homicides (24,849).
