Vision: Our mission is to make high-quality computational thinking practices an integral part of the education experience for all Humble ISD K-12 students. We want our students not just to learn these skills, but use them to solve-problems and create.

Why: With computers touching nearly every industry and exponential job-growth, we want to provide pathways to college and career success for all of our students. In 5 years from now, all of Humble ISD students will be exposed to the possibilities of computer science regardless of their high-school endorsement.

“To be prepared for the demands of the 21st century—and to take advantage of its opportunities—it is essential that more of our students today learn basic computer programming skills, no matter what field of work they want to pursue.”

—Todd Park, Former U.S. Chief Technology Officer

Humble ISD's Coding + Beyond is excited to announce that we’re a part of the #ScratchEducationCollaborative! 🎉 We’ll be collaborating with @Scratch and organizations around the world to support learners from historically marginalized communities in developing their confidence with creative computing.
