About Me

I teach AVID, Language Arts, and Journalimsm at Blackstock. I also run the yearbook club with Ms. Reveles, our school librarian. I attended both California State University, Northridge (CSUN) and the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB). I studied Journalism and Linguistics at CSUN and Education at UCSB. I'm an Oxnard High School Alumni, making me a Yellow Jacket, and I was in AVID in high school. I really love the AVID program and it's a big part of why I became a teacher! Outside of reading and writing, I love photography (these are my photos below), riding BMX bikes, going to the movies, and traveling.
