- Genes hold the information to build and maintain cells and pass genetic traits to offspring.
- Different forms of genes are called Alleles.

- Dominant - will be written with a capital letter, trait will show if it is present. (RR or Rr)
- Recessive - will be written with a lower case letter, will only show if there are two of them. (rr)
