Editor's Note

January 2019

Hello! Welcome to the Explore HMS 2018-2019 year!

This year we have two new members, Sam Stevenot and Kaydyn Zadow. We also have lots of different articles this year! We have our traditional topics, like Editor’s Note, Service Learning, and Teacher Feature. Now. We also have a HMS Happenings, which will be found on the front page, and an Art page (coming soon). The art page will have comics, pictures of art, and happenings in the art club. Also, Get Involved will be combined with the Service Learning page, and Trending will be part of the Current Events page.

A huge thank you to all of our readers, staff, and Mrs. Kingan for making this happen for another year! We hope you enjoy the Explore HMS!

Dear HMS,

Sorry for the delayed response, I have a mild head injury and was not able to update until now. We wanted to wish everybody good luck who is part of the Hudson Middle School track team! Congratulations to Anna Liu, Erica Liu and Sera Mathew for being the regions top three spellers! Anna spelled her way to 1st place and will be going to Washington DC in May for the national spelling bee. Fantastic job, ladies! Hope everyone has a wonderful spring break!

Dear HMS,

Hello! Welcome to the Explore HMS! This newspaper was created by an idea from our Service Learning project. We chose our jobs by our interests. We feel that our school is so amazing that we could feature most of it. We will not be able to feature everyone, but we will try! I wrote about each of the writers under each of their articles, so if you scroll all the way to the bottom of the page, you can find a note about the author. If you visit The Monthly, you will find the best trends! In Current Events you can see what is going on in the world. You can get involved with Ava Klespies. You will also find the school's most inspiring and amazing Service Learning projects! We would like to thank Ms. Hohenfeld, Mr. Fejes, Mrs. Kingan, Mrs. Dages, Mrs. Davis, Mr. Ganz, Dr. Cockley, and ALL of our readers! Thank you! I hope you like this Monthly Edition!

Sincerely,

Kaitlyn Golden; Editor/Publisher
