Google Classroom- Students will be sent an invitation through their school email to join a specific Literacy class. The Google class is organized by period number. Parents and students should not join with their personal emails as it is confusing for us. If a parent or student does not know how to access school email, please contact us with a phone call. This can be an app added on a phone or tablet for convenience.

Readworks.org - This is a computer based reading platform that allows students to read passages that are standards aligned. The students will answer questions in order to demonstrate their comprehension of the passage. These may be taken as a grade or used to assess individual needs and growth. These passages can also be printed if needed. Passages can be differentiated for students needs; example audio version or lower lexile. Students will login with Google.

Newsela.com- This computer based reading platform has standards aligned informational passages and questions in order to demonstrate comprehension. These may be taken as a grade or used to assess individual needs and growth. These passages can also be printed if needed.
Studyisland.com- This is a computer program with multiple content areas. It may be used in other classes. Students will have one login for this website. Individual classes will be seen on their accounts. This site has standards based activities that may be taken as a grade.
Quizizz.com- This is an interactive computer site that engages students. It can be used to review content or as an alternative to a paper and pencil test. Students can have questions read if they turn on the feature. These may be taken as a grade. Students will login with Google. These do have an expiration date; which means after a certain date the quiz will no longer be available.
Scholastic.com- We will use Storyworks and Scope throughout the year. There are fiction and non-fiction passages with comprehension questions. The passages are standard based. Passages and worksheets can be printed or viewed on a computer.
