Grading

Computer Science is a Pass/Fail course.

You can check your student's grades by logging into Progress Book. https://studentparentportal.neomin.org/

In computer science class, if a student receives a low grade they can fix the assignment and turn it in again to try for more credit. By checking the assignment in Google Classroom, the student can review the comments I leave to help them know what needs fixed. (Please ask your student to show you on Google Classroom, they know how to log in. OR check under "Computer Toolbox" to help you better understand Google Classroom).

Once the assignment is fixed, they need to make sure they "turn in" the assignment again to notify me of their changes. They can also add a comment to the assignment to let me know they redid the work.

When I enter grades in Progress Book, if the assignment is missing when I enter the grade for that assignment, I will mark it "missing". Students can still turn their work in! Especially if they are absent. Once I receive the work and grade it, I will update Progress Book. Feel free to email me if you have a question about a missing assignment or how I enter grades.
