What We've Learned

CHECK BELOW TO SEE WHAT WE'VE LEARNED SO FAR THIS YEAR!

Please use this as a guide to make sure your child is keeping up with the skills he/she has learned so far in class this year. If he/she doesn't know any of the following, please continue to practice at home.

LETTERS AND SOUNDS

Your child should be able to identify the following letters and the sounds they make: Mm, Aa, Tt, Dd, Oo, Cc, Gg, Ii, Nn, Ss, Ff, Hh, Zz, Vv, Ee. Pp, Bb, Ll, Rr, Uu, Ww, Jj, Yy, Xx

Please continue practicing writing your first name with first letter uppercase followed by all lowercase letters. They should be able to write their name without help by now.

SIGHT WORDS

Your child should be able to read the following sight words quickly: I, red, can, green, the, yellow, we, blue, see, orange, a, am, black, like, purple, pink, one, two, to, go, three, brown, three, to, go, my, white, gray, you, are, do, little

MATH

Numbers - Your child should be able to identify and write the following numbers: 1-30

Shapes - Your child should be able to identify the following 2-dimensional shapes: circle, rectangle, square, triangle, diamond/rhombus, oval, trapezoid

3-dimensional shapes: sphere, cylinder, rectangular prism, pyramid, cone, cube

Counting by 10s to 100

Counting on from any given number

Fill in the missing number (before, after in between)

Adding 1-10 both vertically and horizontally

ten frames

Place value using base ten blocks
