I'm Renae Jenkins.  This is my 29th year in education. I have taught 2nd grade Title One Reading and 4th Grade.  I have been converted to a country gal since moving from the suburbs to a small farming community in Portage County during the summer of 2016.  There isn't even a traffic light in my community!!  I have one daughter, a son,  and two labrador retrievers who believe they are part human!  Kids are my passion !!!  Since my childhood 4th grade teacher, Mrs. Watt , I always knew I would become an educator.  That deal was sealed when I was a Junior in high school.  My fantastic English teacher, Jim Mika, asked me if I would be interested in a teaching career.  My Bachelor's and Master's degrees were fulfilled at Youngstown State University.  Further education has been completed at University of the Pacific, Loyola Marymount Los Angeles, Ft. Hays State University Kansas, University of Akron, and Walsh University.  Most of my spare time is spent outdoors.   We hike, walk, travel, visit state/national parks, ride motorcycles, sport utility vehicles, and camp.   I am so glad to be a small part of your child's educational life.  Thanks for sharing your students with me.
