As a class read and discuss pages 53 & 55.
Have students complete "Practice Saying 'No'" on page 56.
Students may use the reference on page 53 "Refusing Unreasonavle Requests" as an example to complete page 56.

Introduce lesson with vocabualry & goals.
As a class, discuss arguments & conflicts are a part of life.
Have students go to 59 in the LST Workbook.
Students will complete "Observing Conflict" with a conflict they have been involved in or a conflict a friend has been in.
As a class, discuss methods of Conflict Resolution.
Students will define compromise & negotiation. Students will go to workbook page 60 and complete "What Would You Do?"
Review The Six Steps for Successful Conflict Resoltuion:
Cool off the other person
Listen to the other person
