All About the Teachers!

Welcome! My name is Miss Fortunato and I teach 5th and 6th grade Math at Hubbard Middle School. I graduated from Youngstown State University in 2020 with a Bachelor's degree in Middle Childhood Education with concentrations in Math and Science. I also have my Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.  

Some facts about me- I coached 7th and 8th grade cheerleading at Hubbard for four years, I was a majorette at YSU, I love dogs, trying new foods, and watching Ohio State and YSU sports! In my free time I enjoy spending time with friends and family, reading a new book, and shopping!  I am so excited for this year, and know it will be awesome!

Hello and welcome! My name is Mrs. Thomson. I teach 5th and 6th grade Math and serve as an intervention specialist at Hubbard Middle School. I graduated from Hubbard High School and attended Youngstown State University where I earned my degree in K-12 Special Education. Along with teaching, I currently coach the YSU Penguinettes and Feature Twirlers! I love to spend my free time with my family, friends and Goldendoodle, Lucy!! This is going to be the best year ever!
