Sociology and Psychology are Social Studies electives for Juniors and Seniors. They are designed to be introductory courses to the field. We will utilize a variety of sources when delving into these subjects. Sociology will be taught in the Fall and Psychology will be in the Spring.
Some people ask, "What's the difference between Sociology and Psychology?" Sociology is the scientific study of social structure and human social behavior. Psychology is the scientific study of behavior and mental processes. Essentially Sociology is looking at groups of people, and Psychology focuses on the individual.
