This year’s homecoming events were one for the history books! After being affected by Covid, it is great to see the Steinert community bouncing back. Our school was filled with amazing decorations in the hallway, snacks and water in the cafeteria, and of course the gym. With a great DJ playing music, people were dancing and singing the night away. The homecoming court partners were announced and walked out in style. Overall, it was a great Steinert event!
Following the Homecoming Dance, our Homecoming Football Game was an exciting Steinert tradition. The football team played a hard fought game, but unfortunately lost 24-22 against Robbinsville. Touchdowns were scored by seniors Conner Phox, Joey Rafferty and sophomore Isaac Pate who had an amazing 94 yard kickoff return. Nonetheless, it was a great game that had many people on the edge of their seats.
At halftime, each class presented their class banner, highlighting their slogan for the year and the homecoming court was introduced. Lauren Hardiman, Michael Paternostro, Alyssa Hendricksen, Dream Hemingway, Katie Longo, Landon Donovan, Gracyn Matakonis, Liam Gardiner, Alma Moncada, Conner Phox, Hannah Rak, Joshua McMullen, Sofia Salcedo and Steven Taracena were all honored. Liam Gardiner and Sofia Salcedo were crowned Homecoming King and Queen. With great football, fans and school spirit, the homecoming weekend was a notable success.
