Cheerleading

New faces, new tricks, and excitement radiate from the cheerleaders as they start off the new season with a bang. From their spirit weeks to their performances at the football games, they have raised school spirit in their peers.
They started off conducting bonding activities to help themselves get to know each other better. The engaging spirit days included: dressing up as one’s favorite holiday, dressing up as Barbie, rocking the Steinert apparel, and more!
From here on out, they continue to dedicate time and effort to achieving perfection and putting their best selves out into the spotlight. They successfully made it clear that they did not come to play. Now, they train day after day for their upcoming competition season.
Prior to their first competition, the team will be holding a showcase to show off their routine on October 20th at 6:30. The first competition will be held on October 28th. The challenging CVCs begin November 5th in which they will go against Robbinsville to earn the title of all music champs and to potentially win other awards as well! There is no doubt in our minds that they won’t disappoint.
Throughout all this training and hard work, the cheerleaders have developed beautiful friendships and will continue to make more in the upcoming days. Captain Alma Moncada reminisces, “Cheer has allowed me to make great memories at Steinert that I will never be able to forget.” Even in all the craziness and the rush of getting things done, the team has created a sense of unity. Captain Gabi Ward claims, “I’ve grown so much because of this program.” Due to the newly created bonds and unity, the girls are able to grow not only in their sport but as human beings as well. The cheer team has adapted, improved, and truly proven themselves already. They will continue to strive for excellence as captains Mia Speno, Gabi Ward, and Alma Moncada lead the team to victory.
