Steinert’s highly anticipated winter play has been announced: Seussical. This title may seem childish and turn older crowds away, but there is a lot of depth to this play that brings back childhood nostalgia with familiar characters from the infamous Dr. Suess books.
The play brings the audience into the world of Dr. Suess where beloved characters are revisited such as The Cat in the Hat, Horton the Elephant, Gertrude McFuzz, and more. The Cat in the Hat guides us into the Jungle of Nool where Horton is introduced, the kind hearted elephant who discovered a speck of dust containing Whoville.
The plot is full of twists and turns sure to keep the audience interested. This play is written with familiar stories from the original books as well as with new plots woven throughout. This play keeps the feeling of the old classics while adding some modern color. This play incorporates many of Dr Seuss’ classics, and is sure to please and bring back fond memories of childhood staples that many were raised on.
The cast and crew have been working on the production since November and their effort and time given into the play is proof of their dedication and love for their art. Supporting the Steinert play not only benefits the school but the actors and actresses that have dedicated so much of their hearts and souls into a great production.
Come see the play on 23rd, 24th, and 25th of February for a new twist on the old classics and to support the Steinert students who put so much of themselves into the play.
