On October 28th, Steinert High School hosted its first ever High School Halloween Trick-or-Treat. Organized by Mr. Wheeler and the Senior Class, student volunteers decorated 24 rooms with themes of their choosing. Some themes included witches, Halloween Town, Under The Sea, Frat Party and Scooby-Doo. Approximately 250 elementary-aged students from all over Hamilton attended and received treats from every room. Over 100 students volunteered to decorate, direct foot traffic, and sell tickets. Over 7,000 of candy was donated by members of Steinert’s staff. In a quote from Mr. Wheeler, he said, “I have to say, the students did an amazing job, every room far exceeded my expectations. The students that participated were from every grade level, and everyone helped each other and came together as one Steinert. I was so proud to see and be a part of that experience.” The money raised by this event was put towards helping defray the cost of the senior prom.
