There is no better feeling than coming off the field with hundreds of peers cheering for you. After the P.R.I.D.E dance team’s performance at Pep Rally last year, students muttered and chatted about it, even weeks later. Last year’s Pep Rally performance seems to have had a cosmic impact on the audience and sparked a new interest in the team. The team has undergone a dramatic transformation from twelve members to now twenty-four members in 2022. The tryouts list had brought shock to all the girls on the team as they realized they are now a part of something bigger than they were used to. Needless to say, the dance team is in preparation for the upcoming Pep Rally of 2022.
Audiences can expect thrilling new dance routines for the upcoming school year. Leading up to the events, the team has come up with vibrant hip-hop routines in their weekly rehearsals. Coach Navata, a dedicated leader and choreographer, is preparing costumes, editing music, and continuing to put in hard work for the big day. Team members now have an extended family, who hold rehearsals together, and help each other out. The girls are putting in the time, sweat, and hard work to make sure they are ready for this year’s Pep Rally, winter basketball season, competitions, and more. The P.R.I.D.E Dance Team is extremely passionate about what they do. They express themselves through the art of dance because for them: “WHERE WORDS FAIL, MUSIC SPEAKS”.
