Wow, the beginning of the year is here and off and playing. The elementary grades 3-4-5 are learning the tone chimes, which will be featured on the concert on Nov 17. 6:30 in the church, i believe. i will update..The chimes will be a lovely addition to the songs that we choose and a fun way to learn music.
6 th grade choir is rehearsing on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 2:15. We will be done at the end of the day, so this will not interfere with sports. All should come and sing. We are going to do some great things-and don't forget- there is the big musical in the spring.
7-8 choir is rehearsing on M F at 2:15. We will be done by the end of the day, so this will not interfere with sports either.
Anytime that middle school students have time on wed in Win or during band time-they may come to the choir room to work on anything that we are rehearsaing. Just as long as they are not missing band or classes. Thanks. It is a crazy schedule this year, so come up when you can. See you soon
Please come and join the fun. Once the musical is revealed, i will post here. the results are not in as of yet.
chorus concert for 6-7-8 is december 15 @ 6:30
Looks like the little ones have a concert in December also. K-1-2 has a concert on December 2nd in the church at 6:30

Mrs. Bruck
After a month of dressing for PE, we have looked at some potential pitfalls and logistic problems with space and re-evaluated the dressing policy. Beginning Tuesday 10/22 the following changes will be made in our policy for 6th and 7th grade students only:
1. Students will still be required to have athletic shoes for PE. Sandals, Crocs, flip-flops, boots are all unacceptable. Shoes must be gym appropriate
2. Changing clothes will be optional for the student. While we encourage students to change, the space and time needed for this to be mandatory is not appropriate due to the class sizes. It is recommended that students have short/sweats and a t-shirt/sweatshirt for class, however changing will not be mandatory for 6th and 7th grade students going forward.
3. Students are required to be in the gym by the passing period bell. If a student elects to change, they need to do so in a timely manner within the 5 minute transition time.
These changes ONLY apply to 6th and 7th grade students. All 8th grade students are still required to dress out for PE and will be graded accordingly.
As always, policy is meant to be fluid and appropriate. We will continue to re-evaluate as the year goes on and may re-institute a mandatory policy later in the year if logistics change.
8th grade students are still required to dress out everyday for PE under the handbook guidelines
Students who do not dress out for day will receive no more than half credit for the day
