Meet our Staff!

Vivaan Bhagat is on Team 7B. He likes to play videogames, read, and watch television. He sends special  thanks to his mother for always being so comforting towards him.  

Sragvi is on Team 8D and adores basketball. He is dedicated to journalism and is elated to be a staff member of The HMS Word. He also enjoys soccer (Liverpool all the way!), piano, science, and socializing with his friends. He would like to thank his family, his friends, his teachers, and his acquaintances for enriching his life and aiding him in pursuing the art of journalism. 

Sam is a seventh grader on Team 7E and loves to read. They enjoy drawing and listening to music. Some of their favorite things are stop-motion animation, writing poems, and napping. They are part of the Hillsborough Winter Guard, as well as the Color Guard. Sam would like to thank their dad for always supporting them and pushing them to do hard things!

Hashika Faria is on 8B and is pleased to be a staff member of The HMS Word. She is athletic and plays three sports: lacrosse, basketball, and soccer. She loves to travel around the world, and she enjoys an adventure! Finally, she would like to thank her sister Tvisha for being her inspiration for everything and for encouraging her to step outside of her comfort zone. 

Hanna is on Team 8E, and her favorite hobbies to do during her free time are playing her violin, reading, and learning new things. She thanks her mentors from The HMS Word for helping her grow as a writer, and she thanks her parents for supporting her all along this way. 

Tanvi Jadhav is a Team 8D student whose pronouns are she/her. Tanvi loves to do karate, listen to music, explore new places, and hang out with her friends. Tanvi would like to thank her mom for always trying to support her. 

Ariana Jain, a student on Team 8E, loves spending her time in the pool after school. She is very passionate about swimming and succeeding in school. She loves to spend time with friends and family over the weekends.

Navya Mittal - a student on Team 8E - loves to read and write, particularly fantasy novels! Other hobbies of hers include playing the piano, the violin, and badminton! She is ecstatic to start writing for The HMS Word and interviewing people throughout the year! Navya would like to give her endless appreciation to her loving family, extraordinary friends, and incredible teachers!

Rebecca Pace is an eighth grader on Team 8A. She plays many sports - including football and soccer - to keep her busy, but she also loves to watch hockey, baseball, football, and basketball. Rebecca is a fan of the Rangers, Yankees, and Celtics, and she will always vote for the Cowboys! Her favorite subjects are Writing and Social Studies. She wishes to thanks Mr. Hebenstreit, Ms. Laster, her cousin Lena, and Ms. Finnegan for always helping her through and pushing her to do her best even when she wanted to quit. 

Harini Raghuraman is on Team 8B, and she greatly enjoys music. She also loves to run and thinks that the two make a winning combination. Her favorite subject is, in fact, English, especially when she can free-write.

Arianna is an eighth grader on Team 8C.  She enjoys practicing field hockey, reading, and listening to music in her free time.  She always loves hanging out with friends and family. 

Keosha Shanker is on Team 7A, and she enjoys reading and writing, especially poetry and news articles. She loves spending time with her dog. She dreams of going into the literature field in the future. Keosha would like to thank her mom for being her biggest support: when she did not have any motivation or ideas, her mom was always by her side to help her. Keosha is excited to be a new member of The HMS Word.  

Stuti Singhal is on Team 8E. She enjoys reading and interacting with her friends. She would like to thank her family, friends, and teachers for all of their encouragement. 

Savitha Sriram is on Team 8E and likes reading novels - especially fantasy! She is thrilled to be writing for The HMS Word. In her free time, she enjoys practicing her instrument for orchestra, and she joins academic clubs such as Debate and Robotics.

Veera is on Team 8B and is currently participating in The HMS Word. She recently discovered her interest in writing and will devote her time to creating newspapers here at HMS. Some additional hobbies she participates in include dancing, painting, and the violin. Veera would like to thank her seventh-grade writing teacher, Mrs. Meredith, for inspiring her delight in all forms of writing, as well as Mrs. Simons and Ms. McManus for creating and making this club enjoyable. Not to mention, her family members who continue to support her!

Suraj Tripathy is a member of Team 8B and enjoys taekwondo. He is passionate about writing and journalism, and he is honored to be a part of The HMS Word. He also likes to play table tennis and chess. He would like to acknowledge his parents, his teachers, and all of his acquaintances who have cultivated his intense interest in the newspaper organization.

Advika Vispute is on Team 8D . She loves to read and write. She also loves to play the violin and has been playing it since the second grade. Her favorite food is mint chocolate chip ice cream. She loves journalism and is really excited to start writing articles for The HMS Word!
