About Us

Club History:

The GEMS Club of Hillsborough Middle School was established in 2010 as a spring enrichment activity for girls in grades 7 & 8 interested in STEM. Over the years, the club has grown exponentially in size and popularity among middle schoolers at HMS and surrounding towns. The GEMS Club girls have hosted many scientists from astrophysicists to zoologists as well as toured corporations like AT&T and Bloomberg Inc. The club has also attended and presented STEM challenges to the Young Women's Conference of STEM at Princeton University.
