ALL graduating students (not parents....and regardless of whether plans include college) need to do the below by Friday, May 27. This ensures that
we send a final transcript to the correct location
we accurately report your post-graduation plans as required by the state of NJ and,
that I don't have to chase you (or your child) down in the 22 remaining days of school to get you to do something that you can do on your own in 5 minutes!
Note: The process below is the ONLY way we will accept a final transcript request. Please do not email your request to your school counselor.
Here's what all graduating students need to do:
1. If you applied to any colleges (this is required!) OR if you didn't apply to colleges but know your SCOIR login: Login to SCOIR.
Update outcomes for any college applications, and indicate your plans for after graduation (this can include non-college plans, like military, working, etc.). When you first login, you should see a box that says "Share Your Plans". Click Get Started to access an easy place to update everything at once. If you don't see this - just go to My Colleges and update everything in the Applied column.
For those attending college, we will send a final high school transcript to the ONE school that is marked as "Enrolling" as of Friday, June 17 (so if plans change between now and then, no need to tell me, just change it in SCOIR)
This gives us some additional information about all seniors and collects info about other places that might need a transcript (military, union, etc)
That's it! It should take you just a few minutes!
(Parents/Guardians: Your role here is to remind your child to do these important steps by the deadline!)
Official final transcripts will be sent to the ONE school marked as enrolling in SCOIR. If you think there is a need for a transcript to go somewhere else, please explain in the Google Form. Transcripts will be sent no sooner than June 24, and no later than July 1.
If your plans change over the summer, you can request additional transcripts online through Parchment after July 1.
Will be available in Genesis for a short time before student accounts are deactivated. Mark your calendar for June 24 - you will want to download a final transcript from Genesis for your own records between June 24 and June 30. After that, you can obtain one through Parchment.
If you took a test this year, you should follow the numbered instructions below to enter your college of choice by June 20th. All of your scores will be sent, including all tests you have ever taken. After June 20, you will need to pay for the scores to be sent.
Login to http://myap.collegeboard.org
Click on My AP Profile - towards the right
Click Score Send
Add your college. Be sure to save.
If you took a test in the past - but did not test this year - you will need to pay the College Board to send your scores. You will order them from within your College Board account.
If you've taken concurrent enrollment courses, and are attending a school OTHER than RVCC, you will need to request to send your official transcript from RVCC to the college you are attending. Directions can be found here . It will cost $10 if you send it electronically. You should be sure to indicate that they should send the transcript once your current semester grades are posted.
Students should check their email personal and RVCC email - RVCC communicates directly with students only by email. Some things you may need to do include: take placement tests or submit scores to be exempt, fill out the online First-Year Registration Form, attend registration, get immunization documentation from your physician, submit documentation to the Center for Accessibility and Inclusive Education (for students with IEPs or 504s or health plans).
If you have not yet applied to RVCC, you can find the process to apply here.
If you are still receiving email to your HTPS email that is from the college you will be attending, you should contact your college now to change that to a personal email address. Your HTPS email will inactivate soon after graduation; you do not want to miss important information from your college!
If you did not already change your College Board email address to be your personal address - you should do that now. You can do this in the Settings of your College Board account. This will ensure that if you need to send SAT or AP scores to a school in the future, you will be able to access your account.
