About Me
Leader, educator, coach and youth advocate.
I believe in the transformational power of education.
My career in education has been guided by the words of
Frederick Douglass
"It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men"
Graduate Coursework
I was fortunate to be chosen to study as a resident of the High Tech High Graduate School of Education, in San Diego, CA where I am currently working towards earning my Masters Degree in Educational Leadership. Check out my Graduate Coursework page to see what I studied.
Educational Career
I started my teaching career in 2011 with KIPP in the Ninth Ward of New Orleans at Frederick Douglass High School. I later went on to serve as the Athletic Director and Teacher-Coach at Livingston-Collegiate Academies. Click on my resume and CV page to learn more about my teaching career.
I love to write and to explore the intersection of politics, sports, race and economics. To create is to build community. Check out my writing, leave a comment, let me know what you think!
