I started my career as a Reading Specialist at Hunter Elementary School in 1992. Every year has been exciting and memorable. Hunter Elementary School is a great place where I truly enjoy being around enthusiastic students, staff and parents.

After receiving my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education at Queens College, I taught first grade for five wonderful years at PS 31 in Brooklyn. I continued my education at Queens College and received my Reading Masters in 1987. On July 1, 1991, I moved to my beautiful home in Jewett with my husband, and two sons. One year later, I began my career as the Reading Specialist at Hunter Elementary School. In 1994, I received a certification in Reading Recovery. My two daughters were born in 1995.

My objective is to provide a safe and respectful environment that is both challenging yet non-threatening, where all students have equal opportunity to learn and are inspired to do so daily. My desire is for them to blossom and to believe in their ability!
