Instructional videos are powerful tools for enhancing learning and engagement. They provide visual and auditory explanations of complex topics, making them more accessible to learners. In professional contexts, instructional videos help streamline training, improve knowledge retention, and support self-paced learning.
For this project, I created an instructional video designed for K-12 Education. The video is immediately applicable in its professional context and ensures clear, engaging instruction.
This video is created by trimming and using snippets from multiple instructional videos. I chose to use the professional software Camtasia to create and edit this video.
Target Audience
This instructional video is designed for K-2 students learning about photosynthesis in a simple, engaging way.
Instructional Objectives
By the end of this video, students will be able to:
Understand that plants need sunlight, water, and air to grow.
Recognize that plants make their own food through photosynthesis.
Identify the basic elements involved in photosynthesis: sunlight, water, air, and leaves.
Immediate Implementation
This video will be used in K-2 science lessons as:
A visual introduction to photosynthesis before a hands-on plant-growing activity.
A reinforcement tool to review key concepts in an engaging format.
A resource for virtual learners to understand photosynthesis in an easy-to-follow way.
This video makes learning fun and accessible for young learners by using simple animations, relatable visuals, and clear explanations tailored for early elementary students.Â
