Governors Island practice - Friday before Labor Day - August 30
There's a special practice and picnic on Governors Island to mark the end of summer training and the start of fall.
Family Picnic - Sept 28
The first all-city meet, the Group Run, is the occasion for our fall Family Picnic. Everyone is welcome. Food is contributed by families; the team provides drinks, etc.
Trail Maintenance in Van Cortlandt Park - mid Sept
Team members will help the Van Cortlandt Park Conservancy maintain a section of the park that we practice and race in, and also learn about the ecology of this urban oasis.
Alumni vs Varsity Frisbee game - date TBA
Before heading off to college, our alumni challege current juniors & seniors to a friendly game of Ultimate Frisbee.
Parent Meeting - Sept 7
Parents watch a practice, meet other parents, hear from Coach Henning, and have the option of walking the race course in Van Cortlandt Park.
Invitational Meet - Sept 23
On alternating years, we travel to the Poughkeepsie area for a meet and picnic at the riverside Bowdoin County Park, which is the site of the State cross country meet.

We gather each winter to honor our best performers, greatest contributors to team spirit, and local alumni with a potluck banquet at CCNY.
Meet & college trip to Boston & Providence
Some years the team travels with HSMSE juniors and seniors and visits MIT and Tufts University in Boston. We then travel to Rhode Island to stay overnight. The students visit Brown University the next day while we compete in the Brown University Invitational cross country meet.
NYC Marathon - Mile 24 water stop
We help support marathoners at the final water stop of the NYC Marathon each year.
